A chili cookoff fundraiser was announced at my work to upgrade our breakroom. I couldn't resist. My girlfriend's amazing chili combined with my smoker skills ( most everything I know picked up from this site TYVM ! ), how could i not contribute?

Started with a 3 lb beef roast GF picked up. Sliced about 3/4 lb. off to supplement my jerky habit

Another 1/4 lb or so for french dip sammies after the roast was smoked...

Chopped the balance up to add to the chili

Time to smoke the chili and some dogs for the cookoff. 15* and snowing, perfect weather for a chilifeat !  More pics as the smoke  progresses....

Looks great so far! I love chili, but never even thought about smoking it. Thanks for the idea. That's some great looking jerky, too. Enjoy the rest of your smoke, David.

Thanks David. Got the idea from smokin' beans. Chili is just better beans right? Just gave it a check and stir. 90 minutes in...
