Greetings from central California!  I had been talking about a smoker for years and finally my kids helped out at Christmas.  They got me the gas Master Forge and I am just starting my second attempt.  The first went pretty well (thanks to this forum).  It was a brisket, and I even did burnt ends from the point.  Today I am doing ribs, and after getting the key bit of information that I needed from this forum, I think they will turn out great.  Here are some shots of my brisket:

And this is what I have going today:

So, I am happy to finally join and maybe start to contribute after being a lurker for a couple of months.

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is

Yes me to lurked around before joining, having a few smokes under my belt I am on hold due to 5ft of snow blocking my shed door and the walk way to it plus -15. So I can't wait to get going on again was on a roll before snow and cold came. Did a butterball turkey in cherry wood last smoke it was a big hit with the family. Can't wait to get going again

Welcome to the board! Bad smoking weather here, too. I've been blowing snow and having fun punching snow piles with the Outback.
