Hi everyone, just joined and wanted to say thanks for the great advice I've already gotten. Been grilling forever, but just got my MES30 a little over a year ago and I love it. No issues with it at all. I've also since aquired a dual probe Maverick, a Thermapen, and Jeffs book and recipes, all thanks to the many recommendations I've seen here. Just wanted to say howdy and thanks to the many helpful folks here, you make this site the treasure it is. Happy smokin', David.

Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it then smoked it.

Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with their opinion on the subject.

Always remember the only dumb question is the one you don’t ask!!

Thanks Bonz, yeah,you cant't beat the weather in Fl. So great to be able to grill and smoke year round. Got down to 30 here last night, I'm sure a lot colder by you. I'll have to check out fl group-thanks for the heads up. Happy smokin', David.

Thanks JD, checked out your link to S Fl meetup. Was that Highlands Hammock campground? My bride and I love to camp there. Would definitely love to plan that trip. Looked at the pix-everyone looks like they had a great time. Thanks for the welcome. Happy smokin', David?

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...

Yes.. it was at Highlands Hammock... If going, make sure to make reservations early (when gathering is posted)... as the campground fills up by the time the gathering comes around.... keep an eye out for the thread... We also go to the N. Fl too.. that one is a blast as well....
