My name is Rickey Isham and I am new to smoking. I know bits and pieces but only recently have I began to seem more knowledge. I am currently preparing an Oklahoma Joe Highland for the spring. I recently bought it on s budget of 400. spent less than that but I am making mods in hopes that I have a quality offset smoker. I know its not a 2k smoker but I think I can get the best out of it. I am from Ozark MO

Good evening and welcome to the forum, from a beautiful cool day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Thank you all! As far as the menu I assume you are referring to the mods. I have a friend making me a 2 inch deep baffle plate that will double as a water pan. It will be attached along with the firebox with the top screws. Will also have a drain with ball valve. I am capping the current chimney hole and moving it to the firebox side. It will extend into the center of the grill surface ate grill level. Lavalock on cooking chamber and firebox along with toggle latches. Rtv on firebox joints. I did a ton of research. Any feedback??
