BBQ season has arrived early in Seattle!

Thread Starter

Hey all,

Wow, it was a gorgeous day in Seattle today (sorry Boston but you did get to have a Superbowl victory parade). I'm Barbara -- new to this forum. Have been using a kamado grill for the past few years.

I never thought I'd be mowing the lawn in February but it's been a super mild winter. This afternoon I put some country spare ribs in the kamado.  They were first rubbed with an Asian spice mix, then smoked them over Asian pear tree trimmings and finished with a glaze of a spicy Korean bbq sauce that is delicious (I generally hate commercial bbq sauces...this one is excellent --spicy and not sweet).  Delicious!

I look forward to getting more insights and inspirations from this site.

Barbara,
Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it then smoked it.

Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with their opinion on the subject.

Man that sure looks good!! No lawn mowing in southern Ohio this time of year!! Was 0 deg. when I got outta bed this morning!

Always remember the only dumb question is the one you don’t ask!!
Keep Smokin!!!

If you would post your Qview in a place other than roll call a lot more people would find it.

Happy smoken.
