Nice, Keeps getting better and better
All panels are welded. Doors are test assembled so I can weld the hinges into place before I paint them. I hope the gasket seals up good. I also need to figure out how to install the door slam latch.
This little went to the bbq. And never got home again...
Yeah, it's called seasoning. This being new metal I would fire it up first to let the factory oils and coatings burn off. then spray the inside and grates with a good cooking oil "Pam" works, I use a mixture of bacon grease with cooking oil in a spray bottle, coat everything well and get er hot again you can spray more even while its hot. After hat you are ready to go
Sometimes during the seasoning stage after we sprayed it down we will throw on a bunch of bacon ends and let the go till they are crispy. The smell is fantastic
I know I said this before as have others, But I have seen a lot of builds and the craftsmanship in yours is outstanding, you paid attention to all the little stuff, most of us skip over. A very Very Fine Job
Yesterday I made my first attempt. It was not a long 5h run but just simple BBQ but the results were amazing :) The meat was very juicy and tender. The outer part was pink so I thought that it was not ready but when you cut it, it was done.
Now I must plan a BBQ-night with my friends! :)
Temperature from seasoning.
