Okay, first I wasn't planning on posted this smoke so I didn't take any photos of the actual smoke... So I'll get straight to it:

:worthless

I did a teriyaki with pineapple and Hawaiian chili pepper water marinaded chicken leg quarters. I used kiawe charcoal, KCB and a couple of kiawe chunks for the smoke. My wife gave me a honey do list and I had to scramble to get the smoke in while doing everything else. What really set me back is I was suppose to meet my daughter at one of those 10 minute oil change places and I was the next car in line and 10 minutes turned out to be over an hour... I wasn't happy!!!

Anyway, one of the things the warden wanted done was to chop up some big guavas that are on my property. I figured I'd test out the range of my Mav 733. The trees were about 100 yards below my house and I kept the signal the entire time I was down there.

The main reason I was scrambling to get everything done is my second daughter's high school soccer team was playing for the league title tonite and I didn't want to eat junk at their concession...

Any who... I'm going to tapatalk to download some photos...

The guavas...

What about the six-peat? Yup six league titles in a row! The run started my oldest daughters freshman year.

WooHoo congrats on the win! Have you checked out my post on fire water firm a few years ago?

I'd post a link but the paste feature on my iPhone 6 doesn't work on this site. So use the search feature and look up Experimental Fire Water aka Acid Rain. Love fire water we always have some in the fridge. No hawaiian chiles here so we have to substitute Thai chiles it other hot peppers.

Cool and Congrats, I know you are proud

Hawaiian chilis and Thai chilis are very similar! I'd have no problem interchanging them... If I ever come across some Hawaiian chili seeds I'll send you some! I ve tried to plant some but my dogs keep digging them up.

The guy that I used to get them from his plant died! I'll have to stop by a nursery and get a plant and keep it where the dogs can't get to it.

Yes they are very similar and interchangeable in dishes, and Fire Water! The house I was working on in Holoaloa had three hawaiian chile plants. All loaded with hundreds of chiles. The owners were gone for 3 months and told me to pick whatever I wanted from the garden. I sampled one during lunch one day thank goodness I had a rice to cool things off! I brought back some that I dried, but I lost all my starts and am now out of seeds.

I stopped by a local nursery today and picked up a couple of Hawaiian chili pepper plants!!! The dogs better not touch these or I'll be getting some new dogs soon!

The owner of the nursery also said that they usually carry some Hawaiian ghost peppers but that they were out at the moment.., I've never heard of a Hawaiian ghost pepper but gave her my phone # for when she had some in stock!

I've been on a bit of a pepper craze lately... My wife was watching a Dr. Oz show about the health benefits about them and now she wants peppers with everything! If Dr. Oz ever does a show about the health benefits of bacon or sausage...

I had to completely fence off my garden. Dogs wont eat the plants, but they tear around to much. Deer used to be the main problem, but where we live now that isn't an issue.
