Boneless Pork Butt

The butts I just froze are boneless. On one end they are still connected. When smoking them should the end that is severed be tied back together, for lack of a better way to put it, with butchers twine? Of course the rub would be applied to all exposed areas. Thanks in advance for any help provided...

Yes, I would tie that butt up with twine like you say. Get some rub in there and then bind it all together in a nice compact package. Good luck with it.

i boned one of those last year and rubbed it up good, and tied it up with stuffing, stuffed inside along with some hot peppers. it was so good.

I'm assuming you're making pulled pork and not a roast for slicing.

I've tied boneless butts and not tied them.  I prefer them not tied.

Stuffed for slicing; you gotta tie it up.

I like bark, when you pull it the bark is what really adds to the flavor

Yes Sir, will be pulled.
Which leads me to another question. But that will have to wait, time to feed the hounds.
