Sporting goods store.

Ive been seeing it more and more at hardware and home improvement stores in the grilling department. I'm referring to a bag of chunks, not a cord of logs.

Down in Florida it seems that every home improvement store sells small bags of chips (including pecan) in the grill section. Might be worth a try.

Thanks for yalls suggestions. I just can't seam to find pecan wood chips anywhere around here..

Yeah Try Home Depot, Lowe's , Academy might try Wally World

I'll give you some to get you going, got 3 5gl. buckets of pucks in the shed from a few limbs cut off next door but the trip might be a bit much to Fl.

If you know of the where abouts of a pecan tree, the shells work just as well without damaging the tree.

Note I keep mine well guarded.

A friend bought me some Pecan chips from Amazon as a thank you. I know there are different sources with Amazon, but these were so old they constantly flashed in the chip tray.

I am not saying that some other supplier might not have fresher newer, but I would not go overboard especailly at those prices till I got one bag and tested them first.

If you'll watch Amazon you'll catch some really good deals sometimes. Last year they were dumping there existing stocks and were selling Western Hickory, Mesquite, Apple, Oak, and Cherry chips all at less than 2.00/bag delivered. No pecan though.

I'm not real hip on purchasing wood chips on amazon but thank you very much for the suggestion

My Ace Hardware, home section, sells a wide variety of smoking wood, including pecan.

Do you have a Cabelas near by, they will have it also.  I bought some at Bass Pro on my last trip into one of their stores.

I have an Ace hardware just a couple blocks from my home. Not once did I ever think to go there. I'll check that out this afternoon. Appreciate the info.
