Greetings from Georgia!  My wife and I live in Cumming, which is about 45 minutes north of Atlanta.  I said "for now" in my title because we both work for a major insurance company and move about once every year or two for work and we have no idea when we'll move again.  We've moved from South Florida to Jacksonville to Houston to Dallas and now to Atlanta in the last 6 years.  We're both athletes and love playing and watching sports and love to go hiking whenever possible.  We're also big on dog rescue and have 2 pugs and a pit bull.

As for smoking and grilling, I'm a total rookie and am excited to read all of the tips and advice you guys share!  I currently have a Rec Tec wood pellet grill, which has made grilling and smoking easier for me since it automatically maintains the temperature.  We love eating good food, but don't know much about smoking and grilling so I'm looking forward to learning from you guys!

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
Happy smoken.

Ken,

Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it then smoked it.

Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with their opinion on the subject.

Here is a link to the Pellet Smokers Group: http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/groups/show/33/pellet-smokers-group Stop in and say hello! I have a Yoder pellet pooper and love it. Have heard good things about the Rec-Tec also.

Always remember the only dumb question is the one you don’t ask!!
