My name is Dave Edwards and I've had the nickname of "wickerdave" for the past 30 years or more. Born and raised in a small Iowa farming community, moved to Seattle for 12 years, Los Angles for 13 years, back to Iowa and now Sublimity, Oregon for the past two years and probably to stay. I'm semi-retired, work three days a week at the ACE Hardware store in Stayton.where I run the BBQ dept.
Been smokin for the past 20 years, got away from it for a while and now back. Most of my free time is spent orgainizing and promoting the First Annual Stayton Sublimity BBQ Festival to take place Aug. 1s and 2nd this year, We expect anywhere from 8,000 to 12,000 people to attend, We will have a professional staged classic car show, continuous live music, huge beer tent, Lots of vendors, big kids area, on and on.
Sold my cooker before moving to Oregon, for now I have a Lousiana m-900 pellet smoker, and two grills. As soon as I save up enough money to buy the rediculasly priced steel I will be building a large mobile rotisserie off-set smoker and maybe cook on the circuit again.
