Yea, so...another hobby is just what a 52 year old guy needs, right?

So, here I am.  I love to cook, and wanted to begin to learn to smoking techniques.  I've owned an "old smokey", and various other charcoal smokers over the years.  The past few months I've been scouring the interwebs for an entry level smoker, and settled upon a Masterbuilt Stainless 30.

I brought it home tonight, and will season it tomorrow night.  We'll cook Saturday to prep for the super bowl.

Looking forward to learning alot.

My wife is worried....as once I immerse myself in a hobby...it's usually very time consuming and very expensive...LOL.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome CB, fortunately this will not be a hobby for long.... Good news for your wife. Bad news for her is this usually ends in an addiction based lifestyle ! This is very addicting !

This site is awesome & the members on here are second to none ! Ya can learn on smoking, curing, etc ! Everyone is happy to help each other & share experiences !

Congrats on the new smoker, there's a MES owners group if ya care to check it out !
