Happy New Years !!!
So I was able to get my first smoke on today. Just did a 4 hour smoke on a chicken, Some brats and a couple of Boneless Country ribs
I like to soak things in beer, so I soaked the chicken in some wonky homebrew for an hour or so, I had a bottle of porter so I put that on the ribs
After soaking I seasoned with Steak and Chop I found on the shelf
For my first time I decided it HAD to be Charcoal lol, So I used Briquets and some mesquite chunks along with lots of Hickory Chips
I will try propane and chips only next time as I was struggling to keep it in between 225-250..
So 3 hours of this
And out comes this
The smoke ring is there, I Swear ..stupid phone
The Chicken was Cooked but the juices freaked out the SWIMBO
So we sectioned it up and let it go another 45 minutes in some foil.
Sliced it up and just hand-dipped in some Mustard and BBQ
