Well, sorry about your bad luck.  Amazon will take care of the shipping problem with little or no fuss.  In the mean time welcome to the forum.  The search bar at the top of the page can be your best friend.  Have a question/problem just search it.  Feel free to post and questions you have and someone will come along and help you out.  You will get some conflicting answers but do not worry there is more than one way to make great Q.

Welcome to the board! Oh well, at least you can study up in advance and gather some tips and warnings. No guarded secrets here, everyone shares what they've learned.

If you're completely new to smoking, you might want to do some practice runs with the oven. just to get a feel for how something like a butt or rack of ribs cooks over a given time/temp combination. Then you can shoot for that with the smoker.

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
Happy smoken.
