Trying my first double smoked ham following bearcarvers recipe. We will see how it tastes tonight. Mother in law has a backup in the oven in case I mess it up. Nothing some bud lights and velvet won't take care of though later on!

This may sound dumb but how does one apply the glaze at the end? Brush it on or pour it over the top and call it good???

I just use a big spoon, and the cuts I made in the Ham keep it from just running down the sides all the way.

I like to get it all over, so just dumping it wouldn't work too good.

You could use a big Turkey baster, or a squeeze ketchup type squirter.

A basting brush would be too slow.

BTW: Betting this one will be better tasting than the one MIL has in the oven!!

It's not to late !!!   Take Mother-in-laws ham out of the oven and put it on the smoker. Only thing better than double smoked ham is two double smoked hams

Freaking jackpot! Thanks bearcarver, don't think my MIL ham will get touched!

Looks great, good job, I'll bet you kinda wish you would have swiped your MIL's and put it on the smoker.

I save my squeeze margarine bottles, for that reason, and when i send different meat home with the kids and friends I put my BBQ sauce in them
