Hello from Alabama.  I've spent lots of time on this forum learning the how-to's, techniques, and recipes.  I figured I'd go ahead and join in case there are specific questions I come across and/or to share my smoking experiences with like minded folks.  I love grilling and smoking as I grew up watching and helping my dad and grandfather around the grill.  I stepped into a new arena when my wife bought me a 30" MES for Christmas (which they delivered to my front door in its original packaging.  Needless to say, I got that present early).   I've already done a pork butt with hickory which, if I do say so myself, came out amazing.  So, I'm learning the ways of my electric smoker and enjoying it.  I currently have a 10lbs turkey breast in brine now which will go in the smoker with cherry wood tomorrow morning after we open presents.  Looking forward to many, many more hours bonding with my new "toy".  Happy Smoking and Merry Christmas!

ROLL TIDE!
