Hello from Alabama. I've spent lots of time on this forum learning the how-to's, techniques, and recipes. I figured I'd go ahead and join in case there are specific questions I come across and/or to share my smoking experiences with like minded folks. I love grilling and smoking as I grew up watching and helping my dad and grandfather around the grill. I stepped into a new arena when my wife bought me a 30" MES for Christmas (which they delivered to my front door in its original packaging. Needless to say, I got that present early). I've already done a pork butt with hickory which, if I do say so myself, came out amazing. So, I'm learning the ways of my electric smoker and enjoying it. I currently have a 10lbs turkey breast in brine now which will go in the smoker with cherry wood tomorrow morning after we open presents.
