Hey, just put my first post up over in Poultry. I bought a new smoker 4 months ago after a 15 year smoking hiatus. It's GOOD to be back. I had forgotten how much I loved this.

I live in Tucson AZ since i retired from the Air Force in 2000. Before that i was in Nebraska, North Dakota, Illinois, Louisiana, California, Germany, and Saudi Arabia (and a boat load of other interesting TDYs all over the world).

I'm using a Smoke Hollow cabinet smoker, propane fueled. Very happy with it so far, except that my chips don't ever burn down to ash . they turn into charcoal and then just quit smoking. It's a bit of a puzzle and I haven't been able to find anything in the forums.

This site is a great resource for all my other questions though. Thanks to all for sharing your experience.
