Ribeye roast in the electric smokehouse

#2 son is home for the holidays, so we went shopping for our favorite thing, MEAT!

We found this ribeye roast on sale for $4.35 a pound and jumped on it.

We usually slather this type of roast with mustard or EVOO, but the son had an idea, he suggested rubbing with sesame oil before seasoning with Montreal.

The roast was placed into the smokehouse at 240 degrees until we hit 136 IT. Pulled it out, wrapped and let rest for 30 minutes.

First slice!

We didn't really notice much of the flavor from the sesame oil, but the smell was wonderful!

Sorry, no plated pics since we dove in! 3 of us wiped out over half of this thing! Vac packed the remainder for a cold winter treat in a few weeks.

Holy smokes, at $4.35 per pound, I'd be restocking my freezer, my brothers, a couple of aunts, uncles, cousins and whomever else I trusted that had open freezer space available,

Nice job on the cook.  Looks delicious.
