My grandpap passed this year and I got all the old butchering equipment.

Hobart grinder

Looking down the throat.

1/8 inch plate?  I think it is.  Then 4 other plates.

I cant begin to tell you how many pounds of meat I put through this when I was growing up.  It still prrrrrrrrs like a kitten.

And this Enterprise cast iron stuffer.

I am ready to start stuffing.

Ok, I have a new stuffer coming.   I will use this one for back up.

I am gonna have alot of questions so be ready all you sausage makers.

Very nice. I bet that ole gal will pump the meat out. Made 25 pounds of breakfast sausage yesterday.
Kids loved it. Was 60 % venison 40 % pork.

It sure runs smooth. Just plugged it in an was music in my ears.

CF, nice equipment! It will serve you well and you will have a have sentimental attachment to them. Your gramps will be helping out for years to come !

Nice equip Adam, they don't make em like that anymore.... I'am sure they still have years of use left in em.

Sorry about your Grandpap!

Thanks guys, News Years eve of  2013 was the day.

I might even give the ol stuff a try.

Neat stuff Adam.  How old do you think that stuffer is? It's a great looking piece. b

I don't have a clue. I am 37 and its the only one my pap ever used that I can remember.

Hey Adam great looking equipment! I will say this though the enterprise stuffers are meat to look at, but kind of a pain. I used mine 3-5 times and shelved it. If you decide to use it, be prepared to seal the plunger. To do so you need to put satan or parchment on the meat, then a towel. Otherwise you'll have pounds I meat squeezing out the top. Also in order to get all the meat out chase it with slices of bread. Otherwise you'll end up with a pound of meat in the bottom. Still cool to look at and we have ours displayed in our kitchen on top of the cabinets.
