I have had an ever increasing passion of barbeque for the past five years. I became a KCBS Certified Barbeque Judge about a year ago. I bought my first smoker, an MES 30, about six months ago. I have also recently acquired a WSM 18.5. I'm always on Google or YouTube learning all I can about smoking (ask my wife lol!). I joined this board to help fuel my addiction and also help answer other's questions with the limited experience I have!
Last week I bought and used an A-MAZE-N pellet smoker in my MES for the first time! Excellent TBS (thin blue smoke) for hours! I'm excited that I have such a versatile array of ways to smoke already: standard electric smoker with wood chips, electric smoker modified with the addition of the A-MAZE-N pellet smoker to let it become set it and forget it, and the more traditional WSM charcoal and wood chunk smoker (in which I use wood chunks from Fruita Wood Supply--I got the apple, cherry, and peach combo...they smell out of this world!).
My ultimate goal is to move up the ranks from an amateur smoker to competing in the KCBS circuit professionally. I would eventually love to have a Lang or Jambo pit.
