This is the Oster Smoker Roaster that I use when I want smoked foods at the apartment.

These are the Bacon Wrapped Chicken Thighs, the wood chips in their pockets, and the cup of water for moisture while cooking.
This is the setup in the cooker before I plug it in.

This is the finished product with the Chicken Thighs. I used Jeff's rub and pasted it on with butter and a drop of maple syrup.

Nice , and the roaster looks interesting . . .

I ran across this smoker on Amazon when I was looking for something electric I could smoke in for thanksgiving.

It was short notice and I needed something efficient and quick. I have a charcoal smoker at my mother's home and this is perfect for apartment living, or last minute inspiration to smoke something.

Here is the link:

A buddy of mine was looking for an inexpensive way to get into smoking at his apartment and he got one of these after reading reviews on Amazon.  He brought me some chicken he made and it was really tasty

What temp did you use for chicken thighs? I'm doing bone in  breasts with skin tonight. What temp should I use and how long should it take? Did you keep the vent open the whole time? Liz

Welcome to the SMF Liz!

This is an old thread from back in Dec 2014 and the OP hasn't posted since Dec 2015 so I doubt you'll get a response from him anyway. Wish I could help you but I avoid bone in breasts and I don't use roasters..
