So right now I have the Char-Broil Big Easy electric Smoker roaster. While I love it because it's electric and I don't have to worry too much about maintaining a constant temperature. I do have have to refill the chip box every 30-40 minutes to maintain constant smoke.
I've been thinking of getting the master built electric smoker and modding it to add the A-maze-n pellet smoker, again only because an electric lets me set the temp and forget about it over night. But lately I've been leaning towards a charcoal wood smoker just so I can get a longer consistent smoke AND have a bigger smoker so I can smoke more meat. Of course my dream smoker would be like what my moms cousin has. He set up he gas grill so it has a dedicated gas line from the house so he never runs out of fuel for his grill. When ever I get a place I can build something like that it will be the first thing I build.
So like the title says what's your smoker, gas, electric, charcoal/wood? Is there a dream one that you would love? If you got pictures post them for me and others to drool over.
Here is what my smoker looks like.
Outside with view of small chip tray
Inside with small cooking area. Works great for two butts, or a large turkey, or a large ham. I haven't tried ribs since the cooking area is so small and round. I think cooking ribs would work better laying flat and not hanging.
