Here are a couple pictures of 2 Turkey's that I smoked just because I LOVE smoked turkey.........59 cents a pound did not hurt my feelings either........ One was 22lbs and the other was 24lbs........ For some reason people seem to be intimidated by large turkeys...... Don't be afraid, It's all about how you prep them.....As you can see these did NOT make it long............ And I have 3 people asking me to to smoke them one for Christmas........

Those look great, I like smaller ones as there is only Wife and I, we would never eat that much.  That said you did a great job.

Turkey's are only as tough as you make them....... Using Pop's wet cure, these birds were tender and juicy. I was able to break down the 2nd bird by hand with very little knife work....... It had to cool a bit..... As far as room for larger birds, I break them down to legs, wings, thighs, breast then freeze them in vacuum bags for walking out the door grab and go lunch meals.......... I let them sit on my desk and they are ready for the microwave by lunch time...........BTW.... I boiled the carcass's down to make a stock for turkey and dumpling........... Can't seem to waist any part of these birds........ShoneyBoy.....
