Masterbuilt electrics smoker question.

Sam's has a 30" electric smoker (digital) on sale for $150. Does that seem like a good deal? I got one, debating if I'm gonna keep it.

Thanks for the help.

It's not the best pic in the world, but I hope it helps.

That is an old model but works perfectly fine. The price is good, though I have not followed them all that closely. The only issue is, that model had a high connector failure at the coil, easy to replace. Some versions had riveted back panels, PITA to remove, later ones had screw on backs...JJ

Thanks for the reply. I haven't even opened the box yet. But if it's riveted should I return it'? I haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep it.

Riveted is not a bad thing just in 2-3 years, depending on use, you will have to remove the rivets, replace the wires/connectors, and then sheet metal screw the back on again. Once and done. Below is a link to How-to the repair...JJ
