My name is Wayde, live in MD and after a year of playing with my gas grill and using it to smoke, I finally have decided to purchase my first smoker. The one I bought was from Lowes: Master Forge 20-lb Cylinder Piezo Ignition Gas Vertical Smoker; Item #: 411913 | Model #: MFX784BDP.

I used this for the first time last night and was pleased. According to some of the reviews, it had me worried but this apparently is an upgrade. No smoke escaped from the smoker and the heat was ok. I need to replace the thermoeter on the door and having a problem finding a decent replacement, so any suggestions on this model would be helpful.

I look forward to hearing and reading any tips, mods or suggestion!

Glad to be here!

Wayde
