Pizza oven Ideas

I so much want to do something like this. http://www.brickwoodovens.com/ There's also lots and lots of youtube videos. Until I do I'll use this


Works and free. They sell them on line for about $150

Look in the Weber Mini section of the forum. There is a guy that has one and loves it. I think he even posted the entire build. Dirtsailor? I think. Oh ok I see now you already have the kettle. Duh. Nice looking pizza ovens on that site though. Next summer I am planning on something like that. Home made.

timberjet that's my plan also, wife thinks I'm nuts. lol Still I'm hopeing I can get it done for about 5-6 hundred dollars doing it myself. I'm already starting to price out materials and I have a spot for it in the backyard. Stucco dome nothing to fancy just nice and effective.......... wink

I think I am going to try and use lava rock from the local area here for the base and mortar. I can't imagine more than a couple hundred bucks. Especially if I can find some free fire brick somewhere. Old woodstove donor or something. I am good at scrounging stuff up. haha....

Not being in a hurry is my best friend. Finding and picking materials up little by little. This helps with sticker shock and gets the wife used to the idea.........:biggrin:
