amnps in a master forge vertical smoker

Hey everyone. I am interested in the AMNPS. I have a master forge vertical smoker. There is a cylindrical cover over the burner with 3 slots that allows heat through the top, where the chip box sits, and slots around the sides. Can I sit the amnps in the same place as the chip box?

You could put it on top of the chip box.

I don't know why all my videos are playing, just stop it after the first video.

I'll have to check when I get home, but I think the water pan will be in the way.

The water pan is only 3 or 4 inches above where the chip box sits. With the chip box in place it won't fit. Can the amnps not be placed so close to the heat source?

Is this a propane smoker?

yes it is. I've also discovered the amnts. If I use that on the grate, next to the meat, will that meat get smokey?

SQUIB, what kind of smoker is that?

I would use the Tube Smoker in your propane smoker

Larger mass of pellets performs better in the low oxygen atmosphere of a propane smoker

The smoke circulates, so your meat shouldn't get too smokey

I have a masterbuilt gasser and have the amnps supported under the bottom of the smoker's burner.  The heat draws the smoke of the amnps upward into the smoker.

Here's a link to one of my threads using a amnps with my Masterbuilt propane smoker.

That's slick. I gotta go see if I have the claearance. I looked for specs on the height of the amnps. I only find length and width. How tall is it?
