There is so much info on this site, decided to stop lurking and at least register and say THANKS!

My name is Ben.  I live in Wausau, WI (central Wisconsin).

My major obsession is homebrewing.  Some of my brew buddies from the local homebrew club are also into smoking meats,   I brought a sample of pulled pork from a brew club get together for my wife to try, and I got the green light to buy my MES30 off of Amazon!

I have four smoking sessions in so far, including beef short ribs, chicken (twice), and a pork butt!  I currently have a turkey curing, using Pops brine recipe!  Can't wait for that to go in the smoker!

See you in the forums!

Ben,
Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it. Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with their opinion on the subject.
Always remember the only dumb question is the one you don’t ask!!

Welcome to SMF buddy. There are a few home brewers hanging around this place, myself included. Nothing wrong with a new habit. Dont forget to post your pics of your creations!

Enjoy!
