Smoked up a Philly style pork butt a few days ago from SQWIB'S awesome thread.
Decided to make some sandwiches similar in flavor to DiNic's pork sandwiches in Philly. Started by putting some extra sharp provolone at the bottom of a hero roll;
Then some Philly style pulled pork I reheated gently in a pan:
Then some broccoli rabe that I blanched, then sautéed in garlic oil with some crushed red pepper and salt.
Here's some plates pics:
Thanks again SQWIB! This is an awesome recipe that makes awesome sandwiches. My wife who is a picky eater even loved it!
Packed some in a foil tray to freeze for party appetizers and some for dinner sandwiches. Best way to reheat these is just to pop them in a 350 oven covered for about 20 minutes until they are heated through. Its a great way to reheat sandwiches because the bread gets slightly toasted without burning and the meat and veggies retain their moisture.
Thanks for looking and try this recipe!!!
