I'm from central Oregon looking to put together my first smoker. I am wanting to use a old wood stove piped Into a smoke house not huge but like 3x3 inside. I have the stainless racks thinking concrete the smoke pipe in the floor and cinder block walls wood roof unless I figure straight wood is better. Thant why I joined to figure the right way to build the unite. I'm thinking I will be able to move the stove farther away from the smoke box to get a colder smoke. Their all general ideas soo please HELP

casey7272,
Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it. Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with their opinion on the subject.
Here is a link to the smoke house section, that would be a good place to start: http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/f/200/smoke-houses
Always remember the only dumb question is the one you don’t ask!!
Keep Smokin!!!
