Hi im John and I've been smoking meet since high school 30 years ago started out with the brinkman charcoal smoker and now hAve a propane thin gauge smoker that is on its last leg. In my searches to build a homemade smoker i came across your site and have been dreaming about a wooden smoker then A pit smoker to a cinder block smoker to now the side fire box smoker. Here in Michigan with the cold winters you can go through a lot of propane trying to hold temp at 200 degrees. In my searches I have also found many recipes i will be trying soon. In my opinion there is nothing better than the Carolina mustard style bbq sauce and will be making the recipe i found. I have many years experience as a meat cutter and sausage maker and will be posting hopefully lots in the future. I hope i can make you all proud. Dont think i mentioned earlier but i love all Detroit sports teams esp the Lions.

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
