New to the forum and wanted to get in the roll call.  I got a new Masterbuilt 30-inch electric smoker for Christmas last year and have some high hopes on smoking a turkey this year for Thanksgiving in addition to a deep friend turkey (I got that for Christmas the previous year).  In any case, came across this forum and wanted to sign up since I know that there are a lot of "smokers" who have a vast array of knowledge that I could certainly utilize.  I'm going to dive head first and will be trying to smoke a turkey, cheese, fish, meat, just about anything that can be smoked, I wanna try it.  So thanks for the creation of this forum and I hope to infuse my brain with the tremendous amount of knowledge that is out there!  Thank you!

Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it. Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with there opinion on the subject.

Thanks for the welcome replies.  I will definitely utilize the search feature and insights of the forum members.  I'm planning on doing a Smoked Turkey trial run next weekend so I won't ruin Thanksgiving dinner on a first pass.  Hopefully I'll get some insight into my smoker and notate cooking times during the test.  Hopefully I can get some pictures along with rub and other details to post for everyone.  Then I can get some constructive feedback to have a better turkey for Thanksgiving!

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
