Wood to chip and smoke question?

Hello smoking family I have a question..I work at George Dickel Distillery. We use aged hard sugar maple to make our charcoal. How would this be to chip or do small chunks for smoking ? Thanks grilling_smilie.gif

Can't sell anything don't wanna jeopardise the J.O.B. lol gonna use scraps laying around. Gonna use it in my new Master Built XL.

Hard Maple makes good smoke!! and FREE makes it that much better!!!

Wow - that's cool!  My personal favorite whisky. Hard to find here in Pennsylvania though.
