I put the firebox under the cook chamber for a more even heat. It's 2/12 inch pipe ( with dampers that I built( probably could have went a lil bigger) put wood cabinet knobs on the shafts with springs under them for a lil resistance. I'm also gonna change how the cook chamber opens and put two slide out racks. Runs about 250 with a small fire and dampers wide open. First cook was St. Louis ribs that turned out great

Looks nice, with gauge on right hand side how's the temp balance verse chimney gauge. Any pics of inside plates, baffles etc. How's it tending fire box and radiant heat while tending cook chamber. Have pondered this route while back but adding second chimney and turning fire box to rear access with heat shield on front. Still on paper though. Inquiring minds want to know.

The temps balanced out really well. I thought about adding another chimney. Radiant heat isn't bad at all you can stand in front with no problems. I changed the hinges around so the fire box opens down instead of up also. I think I have 4 plates about 4-5 inches wide as baffles sorry I didn't get any pics of that stuff yet. I really wanna change the cook chamber door so I'm not losing so much heat and I want to make two slide out racks
