Hello everyone I'm Mike or (RollTide1).  Of course I'm from Alabama, to be exact Athens, AL.  I just purchased a Masterbuilt 30" electric smoker and also own a Char-Griller barrel style charcoal grill.  I've cooked several racks of ribs, burgers, chickens, etc.. on the Char-Griller, and they've turned out pretty good, but thought I would like the temp control and quicker startup that the electric smoker offers.  I've looked over this web site for the last several days and found everyone so friendly and willing to help when asked, so I thought this would be a great place to meet new friends and also learn some tricks for cooking great outdoor delicacies.  Looking forward to this experience.

Hi Mike,
Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it. Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with there opinion on the subject.

Welcome to the forum and glad to have you. Great place for new and old timers alike. And always good to have another Bama fan around. Lots of MES users on here also. I've had one for years also. Holding it together with bungee cords!! Still cooks though. Will be using the big stick burner for the Tenn game this weekend!

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
