It could be right, every piece of meat has a mind of its own. I usually smoke my pork butts at 230-235 or so. Be sure you use a good thermometer to check temps.
Yeah, bump your heat a bit.....I normally do butts at 250, some are smoking them even hotter now....fast & furious ala Myron Mixon. It will take as long as it takes.....have a beverage, enjoy the ride....Willie
