Congratulations on being #2   (really #1 don't think any member will ever reach #1)  You have provided new and old members alike with great information, helpful tips and hints and your super "Step by Step" I don't think there is a harder working member on here.

Again Congrats my friend.

Thanks Gary!!

Sheer number of posts doesn't really mean much in my book. It's what those posts mean to others that counts, and a lot of the posts many of you guys make mean a lot to me too.

And Thank You for the nice words too!!

Congrats John!  I've learned a ton from you as well.  You are always ready and willing to answer questions and help, I really do appreciate that.  Not only that, ALL of your recipes are fantastic!  Thanks to you, I'm addicted to pulled ham now.  I have saved/ subscribed to more of your posts than any other members.  Not to mention your step by step post.  I've referred to that a lot.   And just like farmer said, you've cost me a lot of money as well!

I don't post that much, but I've been a member of this site since 2007.  Over time, I've seen a lot of knowledgeable people come and go, and a lot of people I respect for sharing their knowledge.  Deejay Debbie, Smokey Okie, The Walking Dude, Mad Hunky to name a few from years gone by.  But to me, you top the list.  Keep up the great work John, I'm sure I speak for a lot when I say you have made dinner time a whole lot more enjoyable.

One last thing, I agree that the number of posts don't mean that much, it's the quality of the posts.  And I think your points total says it all.

I'm in with this. Bear has made my smoking so much more enjoyable and is also a great guy who is always willing to help out. Salute!

Number 2 means you try harder? as the old commercial used to say. Me thinks you're Numero Uno in a lot of ways but the best was beating back that medical scare. Like many others have said, an inspiration to many FNG's, myself included, with a wealth of info ready & willing to share. Continued good living, my friend......Willie
