I just found the forum and am looking forward to learning and sharing on the site. I'm pretty new to the smoking world, but I love it and won't ever leave. I got my first smoke three years ago. It's a master built (Sears) stand up propane box smoker. It hasn't done me wrong so far, but it's just not big enough to do full brisket, ribs etc. So I decided to start designing exactly what I wanted for a smoker and recently started construction. It's a substantial 36x24 main smoke box(electric) with two dampers on the back and a 4" stack on top. A side box with cooled transfer tube for cheese and a turkey fryer (propane) on the opposite side. I wanted an all in one BBQ unit and I wanted it big enough to accommodate my growing needs for a smoker, but not so big that I need to pull it around with my truck. I cut all the parts on a water CNC plasma table, so it doesn't look like a hack garage job. It's about half done, and I look forward to posting pictures when I'm finished.
