I have a 22" SMW, one touch 22" as well. I have just started smoking food and since my wife and I like to have family and friends over, I have always been the one to make sure we had food for the get togethers. I use to grill with propane and make all other foods with crock pot. Well I have a beautiful Genesis that hasn't been used since picking up my SMW smoker. I am not one of those people that act like I know what I'm doing, and just hope it turns out. I want my family safe while I cook and also safe digesting food I prepared. So I hope some insight from everyone and tips could perhaps make me that guy the whole neighborhood knows is smoking something cause they can smell it from my back yard. I also plan on smoking year round and live near Cleveland Ohio. Thank you for sharing any wisdom in advance.

Welcome to the board! For safety, get a good thermometer and read up on safe temperatures.

If you're new to burning, read up on charcoal and wood management. And put "WSM" into the Search here to find a lot of advice and experience.
