All the wood was free from a local community development.  My buddy lives in an area where builders are still building so I got to scrap some free wood out of the dumpsters.  Got a great deal on the sheet metal from HD and now I got the perfect spot in my small backyard for my cooker.  Keeps it outta the elements for the most part.

Smoked it a few times with successful Qview.  The problem I was having after I built the carport/shed was the smoke!  Problem solved:

Now I've already been scolded by my buddy to get this done prior to me smoking it under here so I just want to let yall know that all the "burn" marks was simply low temp exhaust...not a full on day long smoke.  I pulled it out when I smoked.  I simply added "flavor" to the roof lol!  I tested the new set up today with a half bag of Kingsford (bag included to get more smoke) and I found that my whole cooking chamber door leaks like crazy so I'm gonna work on that tomorrow.

Just simply showing my little way to take care of my pride and joy with a small back yard :)

Great setup. What brand of smoker is that?...JJ

It's one of them non store bought types ;). Did a good thorough deep clean on the inside of the cooking chamber this morning...took about 2 hours! It was much needed! Fixed up my chamber door seal with high temp. If that don't work I'm gonna go with the fire rope method..

Also scored some local pecan!

Non store bought? Is it a custom build or available to anyone. I like a tank built smoker over a pipe and am interested in investigating it further for purchase...JJ

For one I think they are prettier and I have read some info that the rounded ends add a bit, how ever small, of efficiency in keeping the even heat across the chamber...JJ

It was built from a 120 propane tank.  Started as a back yard/patio style but I loan it out often enough to mate it to a trailer.  I still want to wood deck the bottom, fenders & add another table to the opposite side.  Also been collecting parts to add a propane assist.

Well folks, about to go outside and test out my new seal.  Been curing for almost 30 hours.  Gonna run the minion method thru it and just kinda sit outside and stare at it while I drink beers

Dang it!  It leaks worse now

Guess I'm going to look into the fire rope method.  Crap!  That was an $18 tube of High Temp RTV lol!

The first time I did the lid seal...............you know what I'm gonna start a new thread on this
