My name is Jeff and while I just purchased my first smoker (Brinkman Electric gourmet Smoker) I have certainly eaten my fair share of smoked meats. I currently live in So Cal. but will be moving to the Florida panhandle with my wife by the end of the year. I have just recently retired from the fire department as a Fire Captain and now have more time to hopefully hone my skills as a meat smoker.
I am all ears when it comes to suggestions as far as types of wood to use as well as any recipes for rubs and sauces. Thanks all and look forward to talking with you all
