Weekend Baby Backs

Thread Starter

I haven't posted anything in a while, so I kept the camera close by while doing a couple racks of baby backs this past weekend.  They came out so good I didn't have any leftovers to take to lunch on Monday!

Two racks (sorry the photo loaded upside down)

Rubbed and ready

Near completion on the Webber kettle

Plated with some slaw made earlier that morning-  Thanks for looking

They look great. Take it you smoked them for the full 5 hours without foiling?

Actually close to 3 hours in my ECB with an afterburner at 200 over apple wood, so I could get other things done around the yard, and finished on the Webber with some heat to crisp them up.  Naked other than rub until the last 30 minutes.  A total of roughly 4 hours.

Looked good. Know it tasted great , no foil is the way:icon_exclaim: No soft mussy Ribs for me , and no extra burning on a Gasser to firm or glaze them.

Here is a really nice way to bring out the sweat and sweeten your Ribs .

I use Turbinato Sugar ( 1 individual pg.   -   1 tsp. ) spread on the top of mine about 30min. before removing them , makes a really nice flavor if you like a sweet Rib. (no , I don't cook for dieters , I just try to control myself and have a regular serving , ( well , for some it may be a whole rack ) ,but I've been good and spread a Rack and the tips over 3-4 days to savor the experience...:drool .

Since my Neural Stimulator  implant ,I've lost 40lb. , . I don't eat when Trish gets off work . OK, though , she doesn't like meat on the bone , but I gotta watch the Brisky :police2:.

I'm shooting for this again  :

See ya later ,
