Hey all, new to long smokes, newly retired and looking for a new hobby, I think I found one. I just bought a Horizon 16" Classic, wow what a tank. Ive done a couple of smokes over the last week and I've noticed I'm loosing smoke and most likely heat from the rear food chamber lid (back along the hinges). There seem to be a 1/8 - 3/16 gap back there, I haven't seen anything on line to address this issue, if in face it is an issue. The people at Horizon have been great, they say a little billowing smoke is normal from all openings. Any one own one of these tanks? Maybe shed some light on my gaps

Welcome to the site. First,  I am going to repeat what the other folks said.  Use the search engine at the top of the screen for this and any other question you may encounter.  I've been using the site for about 3 weeks and the people that I've spoke to could not be nicer and more sincerely helpful.  Like "THEMULE69" said, we're all smoke junkies.  We all have this in common and want to help each other be successful.

Can you post pictures of your smoker?  I am not familiar  with your  model and would love to see it.

As for the leak, you might want to reach out to http://www.bbqgaskets.com/     They helped me seal up my smoker.   They have 3 different websites (I think)  All combined they should be able to help you
