Alright guys I have been reading from this website for five years! I am a rookie smoker. But have plenty of friends who do catering, own a business, and do competitions. Here where I live BBQ is king.

Finally joined because I will be building my own smoker out of a large air compressor. No experience, no tools, no trade. This will be a challenge but I enjoy Q-ing so much and reading all of you guys builds that now I will embark in my own. Looking to do a horizontal stick burner, maybe a reverse smoker.

My first smoker was a craiglist purchase. Custom center fire. Love it but I prefer horizontal over anything.

Hello and welcome to the forum, Great place to learn and share and a bunch of good people. Looking forward to your build. Interesting smoker you got on Craigslist  did it work well ?

Started to clean up my tank a little today.
The craiglist smoker had a fire box behind it. It did well for chicken but didn't do so good for slow smokes. That is why I prefer horizontal method.

Will post pics...

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
Happy smoken.
