I was thinking about smoking some town house crackers just for fun and snackin'. The question is: heat or no heat? And if heat, how much? Thanks in advance for any info.

Your pretty much going to have some heat..Could be a good think...I would go below 100* for about 30 min..for a start then adjust to your taste..Let us know how they turn out...Smoke some cheese also...good luck...

Did several things like this a while back when there was still enough fuel left to provide some smoke but not get too hot.  I would toss whatever into a foil boat (open top) and let 'em go for a while.  Cheetos were pretty good, chickin in a biscuit crackers were pretty good, chex mix not so much lol.  Go for it...worst that can happen is you toss out a sleeve or two of crackers!

I cold smoke crackers all the time.  I cold smoke for 20 minutes and put them in a plastic bag for 3-5 days and enjoy them with some smoked cheese.
