If it was still frozen, say in the middle, it makes it tough.  So far, knock on wood, I havent had an issue getting through the danger zone in the 4 hour time frame even with cuts as big as 13 pounds. Thats the only thing I thought of in rereading was that it may have been frozen inside yet, and gave you an issue.  SOunds like no one got sick or anything so no harm no foul this go around.  Just something to keep in the back of your mind.
