What I was wondering, specifically with the MTE-733, is how do you set the probes in the meat and in the CC without burning the wire? I've seen that you can buy 6' long wires and that all well and good but I have a vertical offset smoker. Do I close the door on the wire? Won't the wire get damaged in some way, either crushed or melt or am I over thinking this?
Please let me know. i know I want to order a remote thermometer. I just want to understand beore I order it.
