Hello from Ohio

Hi, I live in Dayton Ohio. I'm a long time gas and charcoal grilled. I have wanted to try smoking for a while, but just never did it. Well, for fathers day my kids got me a Smoke Hollow 4-in-1 combo grill/smoker. I just recently put it together, but I've not used it yet. I've done a few mods to it. So, now I'm anxious to get started.

Looking forward to learning and trying new things. Thanks in advance for all the help I've received already. I have tons of questions to ask. I can't wait until I've learned enough to start giving back.

Thanks. yahoo.gif

Hey thanks for the great welcome. I'm looking forward to trying and learning a bunch of new stuff. As far as my first smoke...I'm not sure yet. I have a rack of ribs in the freezer that I might try this weekend. Heck I don't know. I guess the options are endless. Lol. I need to season it first. Maybe I'll do that today. I even have questions about that. Lol. But I guess that's is fairly straight forward. Wipe it down with oil and heat her up. Lol. I'll figure it out.

Thanks again everyone.

Welcome Chase,

Don't be afraid to ask questions, there's a lot of guys here willing to help. Do a bit of reading, then get that smoker dirty! Start a notebook and document your cooks. It'll help you remember the good, bad and ugly.
