She Who Must Be Obeyed just doesn't care for hot wings that much. So, I made teriyaki wings for my first attempt at wings on the mini. They had drumettes on sale. I prefer the whole wing but I am cheap.

I mixed one part of pineapple juice with two parts of teriyaki sauce and a couple of tablespoons melted butter. I injected the drumettes and then put them in the remaining marinade for 4 hours.

I loaded the mini up with lump charcoal and got it up to 350 F.

I used no deflector under the chicken and cooked it for about 25 minutes turning once.

The finished project.

The Verdict: These were delicious. Scarbelly's method of injecting gives a wonderful flavour boost.

Looks great, I will have to look up his recipe.

Can you believe I haven't done wings yet????

Hello Disco.  Great job on the wings.  Those look mighty fine.  Keep Smokin!

Thanks, Danny. They seemed to just disappear though. I blame the missus.

I would like to try it with his recipe but I will have to make two varieties to satisfy She Who Must Be Obeyed.

I made my mini mainly so I could smoke wings and chicken over higher heat. You really should try it. It does something to the skin that is wonderful.

Looks Fantastic Disco!!! Looks like you're putting the mini through its paces!! Hope you're enjoying it!

That's how I make wings for my boys, as they don't like them hot either. I too inject them. I like to mix pineapple juice with my teriyaki to thin it out a bit and add some additional flavors!

They look awesome Disco!

I've got to try that recipe as well.

There's not a restaurant around that can beat  home smoked wings!

You are very kind, Wes. I find home cooked food of all kinds is generally better than restaurant food.
