Last week I smoked some chicken leg quarters on my 13 year old weber silver grill. They were wonderful. A little dry but still very edible and tasty. I found out my grill temp is about 40 degrees hotter than the dial reads. Getting ready to order a remote grill and meat thermometer ... Maverick ET-733. Hope that is a good reliable one. And I'm headed to Home Depot this weekend to pick up their dual fuel Masterbuilt Smoker. We live at 6500 ft elevation and it snows and rains a lot here in the White Mountains, Arizona. Will this smoker hold up do ya think? We use our grill all year round. It sits on the back porch and is hooked up to the big propane tank. Just turn the valve and I'm cookin. I bake bread and deserts on it in the summer so I don't heat up the house. Plan on using the smoker once a week all year round too. Hopefully.
Can't wait to do some reading here and get lots of ideas.
thanks for letting me join in,
